Of course the US can successfully attack Iran!!!!!!

The Gay Secretary

The Japanese successfully attacked Pearl Harbor! The Confederacy successfully attacked Fort Sumpter. And Hitler successfully attacked Poland.

Get the Picture!!??

Is David Ivins, 50, Jewish: If so, where is Alan Dershowitz!!??

The best way to rob a bank is to own one!

Let's see. MF transferred $200 million to their clearing bank JP Morgan in London three days before their bankruptcy according to the WSJ. Dealbook says it was on the LAST business day. And it took the regulators THIS long to find it?

And allegedly at the time JPM London suspected that the money might be coming from the customer accounts. I wonder why that would occur to them?

Read this carefully. The spin is there but the truth is beneath the surface of sugar frosting and distracting swirls of fluff, and the decorations carved from baloney that have marked this story from day one.

This could be a misdirection. I wondered if this was money to cover the bonuses to the London MF staff, but they were paid the day before the bankruptcy. Nothing like making a find and then being able to dismiss it.

At the end of the day, I think the regulators have known where the money went for some time now. The problem is that the parties who received it won't admit it and give it back, and they have powerful friends. And there is a greater scandal floating beneath the surface. Maybe involving someone big enough to rig a global market or two.

I enjoyed the 'report' saying that George Soros had received the funds and assets. As if he was engaged in margin calls with MF Global prior to bankruptcy. He might have bought something in the aftermarket peddled to him by the original recipient who held MF Global testicular-wise before they went under. That was the most likely reason the firm would take the risk and dip into customer funds in desperation to maintain their 'winning positions.'

It is also credible that MFG was 'set up' by a company with an inside knowledge of their financial condition and cash flows.

When will they roll out the rest of the story, Christmas Eve or New Year's day? And in what year?

Local Cops Ready for War With Homeland Security-Funded Military Weapons

Unbelievable assault of some poor slob!! Punk has the nerve to do what he did, and then say, "Happy Hanukkah. Happy New Year!" ??

'Don't jog to work you dumb f***!'

He was nearly killed in a horrific roadside accident, and now a jogger is furious at the wise-cracking cops who mocked him as he clung to life.

Lying in a pool of his own blood after being hit by a truck, Seattle man Tim Nelson had blacked out when first responders arrived.

One officer was operating under the mantra of 'to serve and disrespect' as he remarked to a colleague: 'That's why you drive a car.

'Don't jog to work you dumb f***!'

A letter to Barack Obama

Dear DEAR President Obama,

Now that you have signed the National Defense Appropriation Act into law giving yourself the power to arrest and imprison any American indefinitely, I want to tell you how very very very very very sorry I am for all those nasty things I wrote about you. Name-calling is never appropriate and I should have known better, especially when I compared you to Benito ("Three cheers for war!") Mussolini for making undeclared wars in Africa. In retrospect, I was way off base. Since the NDAA nullifies the Constitution, you might agree with Mussolini's viewpoint, "Mankind is tired of liberty" but that's definitely where the comparison stops. Mussolini was a fat slob whereas everyone can see you are the leanest, trimmest, handsomest president we've had in the White House since JFK, maybe handsomer.

Likewise, I'm exceedingly sorry I wrote U.S. forces in Afghanistan are killing innocent people every day. I know that is not their intent. As Hermann Goering once said, "I am in the habit of shooting from time to time and if I sometimes make mistakes, at least I have shot." Since comparing your actions to a top Nazi is odious, let's just say as the noted American gangster Mickey Cohen once boasted, "I never killed a man that didn't deserve it." Sure, it's technically an "assassination" to execute people without a trial but your suspects were fingered by the CIA. We need to keep in mind you're striving to reduce terrorism, not necessarily uphold the law for, to quote J. Edgar Hoover, "Justice is incidental to law and order."

If the CIA had the smarts to grab you right out of college and give you a job, I'd be surprised they could be so mistaken as to order the execution of innocent people. The late President Nixon may have said of them, "What the hell do those clowns do out there in Langley?" but what did he know? Actually, you can now take comfort from Nixon's words, "When the president does it, that means it's not illegal."

Anyway, while I'm apologizing to you, please tell the CIA I take back all those nasty things I wrote, saying they're the world's biggest criminal syndicate ever, and comparing it to the Ku Klux Klan for operating in secret, kidnapping and lynching. We all know the CIA's critics do tend to exaggerate. Some say the Agency's overthrown 30 countries by force and violence when it's probably been just 26 or so. As ex-CIA Director William Colby once said, "I have definitional problems with the word "violence.' I don't know what the word "violence' means." At times, the Agency may have run amok here and there but at least it showed its smarts by not copying the KKK's cross burnings, which definitely would have made us look bad in Muslim countries.

So I'm glad you refused to prosecute CIA torturers. Incidentally, when the Agency destroyed its torture flicks, it didn't prove obstruction of justice so much as not wanting to make Hollywood producers look like action movie amateurs. Imagine a scene in which a CIA agent says of a waterboard victim, "He sleeps with the fishes" and it's for real, not fictional like in "The Godfather." When you leave the White House, you might consider Hollywood. You'd grasp the true meaning of Samuel Goldwyn's words, "A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on" because without a Constitution now everything's gonna be verbal.

I also apologize for describing you as the moral opposite of Rev. Martin Luther King, because he was anti-war while you have been making wars at the drop of a bomb. Whose to say MLK would criticize your wars in Libya, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and Yemen, right? And that's just a half dozen countries out of 200, so what's the big deal? You're only trying to be friendly as you expand the number of U.S. military bases abroad. We've only got 900. As JFK's Secretary of State Dean Rusk, once said, "While we are sleeping, two-thirds of the world are plotting to do us in." Or as Billy the Kid warned: "I see many enemies around and mighty few friends."

As for my disparaging you for assuming "king of the world" powers of life-and-death over all human beings on the planet, well, while that's technically true, I know you are not the sort of guy to actually exercise those powers, even if misguided liberals do mock you as "President O'Bomber." The NBA is always advertising the good its players do in their communities and you're a basketball player yourself, right? I mean, indiscriminate killing is not something an NBA player would do, is it? So, logically, you wouldn't do it, either. Actually, I think that if you had the desire to play basketball professionally you obviously would have been a top star like Dwayne Wade or Kobe Bryant. Am I right, bro'? You don't mind if I call you bro', do you?

In closing, I think you can take satisfaction knowing that you outperformed the Nixon regime, whose Henry Kissinger once said, "The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little bit longer." The fact is, after only three years in office you have inspired 300 million Americans to be on their very very best behavior, or else, no mean achievement. Yours Truly, your friend, loyal supporter, Cheerleader-in-Chief, and soon-to-be-campaign contributor.

U.S. Marine Corps helping with the poppy harvest..lol

The Chinese government had better figure out a better way to handle these demonstrations, other than tear gas and beatings; because..

American Scofflaw

As in the case with other social justice movements, abuse by the police is simply going to make those movements stronger, and more angry. At this point, these demonstrators cannot be cowed into meekly go back to their jobs.

This is also because brutality like this will inevitably get caught on cell cameras, go viral around the world, and make the Chinese government look like a consummate bully in terms of how they treat their citizens.

I am certain that the social justice groups in China are just as concerned about the wealth disparity between corrupt party officials and their minions as are members of the Occupy movement here in the US, and elsewhere.

I suspect that the slaughter of this pregnant woman was no accident.

Notice her husband's title: he was a counter-narcotics chief who was conveniently detained for just the time it took to assassinate his wife, then released after the hit team had done its job.

One has to wonder: was this man doing his job perhaps too well, and was this a warning to him to back off?!?

Since the US/NATO invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, opium production has soared. After 10 years of US-led war in Afghanistan, the country remains the world’s leading opium supplier, responsible for 90 percent of the global supply, according to the United Nations.

And to those of you still in denial about US military involvement in the trafficking of drugs, perhaps you should see this!

The following photos were released by the DoD and NATO over the last month.

Notice that none of these soldiers appear to be involved in any kind of eradication efforts whatsoever.

We are in for some interesting times in the next year folks, and the watchword for 2012 is "preparedness", big-time

Please, don't panic....yet. But do have a sensible, workable plan.

If it is possible, place some of your assets into physical silver and gold.

Make sure every time you go to a "big box" store, that you buy extra durable goods. Have critical medications you and your family - and your pets - may need stockpiled.

Have communications devices which are not dependent on cell-phones. A couple of good two-way radios can be a good investment.

Think about how you will defend your home, if need be. Police are only good for cleaning up a mess after a crime; not preventing it.

If you need to meet in an emergency, make sure the family knows how to get back together, and how to get the heck out of Dodge, if you need to.

The mother of all ironies here, is that Obama used to be a lecturer in Constitutional law at the University of Chicago's School of Law.

The Gay Secretary

Apparently, Obama has signed this Defense Authorization Bill yesterday, right before he leaves (most probably today) for his 17 day Christmas vacation.

I never realized how deeply and thoroughly Obama loathes the Constitution and Bill of Rights until Carl Levin let slip that it was Obama himself insisting on the language for indefinite detention in this defense appropriation!!

No true defender of civil liberties would ever, ever called for such language in this bill.

Senator Levin told Congress recently that under the original wording of the National Defense Authorization Act, American citizens were excluded from the provision that allowed for detention. Once Obama’s officials saw the text though, says Levin, “the administration asked us to remove the language which says that US citizens and lawful residents would not be subject to this section.” Specifically, the section that Obama asked to be reworded was Section 1031 of the NDAA FY2012, which says that "any person who has committed a belligerent act" could be held indefinitely.

Is having peaceful, logical, and reasoned arguments with various US domestic and foreign policies now considered as "belligerent acts"?!?

Right now, I wouldn't bet against it.

WTF ??!!

Which is why the GOP is now waving around this "threat" from a "hacker" to invalidate a Ron Paul victory.

Those who would keep you slaves are desperate. And desperate people take desperate chances. Cornered animals are extremely dangerous. And that is what we are dealing with, animals; bull apes bellowing in the jungle demanding more of whatever they want, money and power, and ready to crush the skulls of those who refuse.

Basically, PayPal gets the use of that money interest free for ninety days

The Gay Secretary

During which it can be invested or applied against the reserve requirements of whatever bank PayPal uses to store this "pending" money. So, $2000 per client with almost 2000 known clients is about $4 million in interest-free money for a ninety day period.

Yeah, I could see why there might be a class-action lawsuit here, especially given PayPal's "prior indiscretions".

Who Killed Me??!!

The stunning revelation from our nation’s premiere investigative reporter, Seymour Hersh, that Vice President Dick Cheney was running an “executive assassination ring” directly under his control and outside of the normal chain of command has raised the specter that the Vice President of the United States may have been murdering Americans.

Not the greatest satire I've seen, but pretty entertaining nonetheless.

Editor of New Yorker magazine says President Obama is salivating at the thought of running against Gingrich

The Gay Secretary

Obama may well be pulling a "Nixon" for his re-election, covertly sabotaging the GOP candidates he is afraid of and engineering the GOP primaries so he can run against a candidate he knows he can beat.

What "gains?" We were told this war was about Saddam's #%#$ nuclear weapons of mass destruction

The Gay Secretary

Turns out there were none. Then we were told the Iraq war was all about revenge for 9-11. Now we have George W. Bush on video admitting Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 (which we already knew anyway).

Then we were told the war in Iraq was because Iraq was supporting Al Qaeda, but this claim was based on a single confession extracted under torture and was absurd on the face of it since Saddam's was a secular government and Al Qaeda (whoever they really turn out to be) is always screaming about theocratic rule.

None of the objectives for this war were achieved because they were never achievable. We spilled the blood of our children across the sands of Iraq for nothing, and now we are being asked to leave.

I don't see any victory here, Mr. McCain. I don't see any gains at all worth the loss of any more young Americans.

Welcome to Ameristan, the banana republic dictatorship

Where people are deliberately thrown into poverty courtesy of offshoring (for which US companies are given tax advantages), and now the Federal Government has the power to detain you indefinitely without charges and due process if you gripe about it.

This is a definite and deliberate attempt to destroy the middle class in this country, because protest against oppressive government generally begins in the middle class.

The Bush administration landed a sucker punch to the guts of the Constitution and Bill of Rights with the Patriot Act; however, when Obama signs the current Defense Authorization, including language enabling any President to have any citizen detained indefinitely without due process and charges being filed, he will be the man who will have absolutely destroyed every protection they used to afford ordinary citizens against a rapacious, out of control Federal Government.

This provision completely negates the Constitution and Bill of Rights in ways which would have astounded, terrified, and disgusted the founding Fathers of this Republic.

The United States of America is dead. The alleged US Federal government now stands before its citizens, and the world, as a rogue, immoral, and non-representational entity, caring for only a few if its elites, and throwing the rest of its citizens under the proverbial bus.

Slave or Killer: You make the call!!

Chris Wallace: Iowa ‘won’t count’ if Ron Paul wins

Senator Lindsey Graham is Gay and CRA ZY!!!

The Gay Secretary

The Senate is discussing Indefinite Detainment once more right now on CSPAN.

http://www.c-span.org/Live-Video/C-SPAN2/
Ayotte was just talking and said we have to be able to detain U.S. citizens just as she has said before.

She asked Graham to comment on it.

Graham just now got on the floor - Once again he called the U.S. a Battlefield.

3:40 PM He is saying terrorist want to destroy the country
(Terrorist don't need to do it because the domestic terrorist in D.C. are doing it themselves)

Graham is saying it is not right terrorist have rights.

I just can't believe all that Graham is saying - it is unfrickin believable!

Says people getting radicalize through the internet and want to harm their own government.

Ayotte is playing the game with him this time like Levin did last time - it is a back and forth saying how wonderful this bill is.

All Graham can do is keep mentioning the Christmas shoe bomber as the reason for the bill!

He is saying THE U.S. NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO KILL U.S. CITIZENS WHO ARE ENEMY COMBATANTS!

As soon as this is available I will be posting it!

UNBELIEVABLE! NOT JUST INDEFINITE DETAINMENT - HE WANTS TO BE ABLE TO KILL U.S. CITIZENS TOO!

3:59PM - he just finished - Levin is now on the floor.

So Graham doesn't just think U.S. citizens should be held without rights indefinitely he also said we should be able to KILL them for being enemy combatants which the bill gives them that right!

SO.... Am I correct in him saying in the bill it ALSO gives the U.S. Rights to Kill who they want without trials also??!!!!

He yielded the floor - they are doing roll call - 4:02 PM

So - the video when it is available needs to go Viral of Graham talking about how the bill not just allows indefinite detainment but killing people too.

UPDATE 6:01 PM est - Here is the video - best I can tell it starts around the 6 hour and 19 minute mark of Graham speaking. It is buffering up for me it has not started yet. I don't know how to cut that part and copy it from CSPAN.

http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/SenateSession4962

Here is the video - I can now embed it, but I still have not been able to ever get it buffered up to the place he begins talking - I have tried to get it to the 6 hour mark.

Bring on the Surveillance, Will 'ya

American Scofflaw

In 2011, it is scarcely even possible to keep up with the new methods of surveillance and control being introduced by governments, corporations, and universities on what seems like a daily basis. I, myself, have had quite a time over the last few months trying to keep track of them all.

Indeed, in just a matter of months, we have seen the implementation of the Google Wallet Smartphone app in places like New Jersey and New York transportation systems, as well as the development of implantable microchips that can both react to -- and control -- the human brain. Not only that, but we have recently witnessed the introduction of vein scanners to the general public for the purpose of payment and identification.

Win this election...on WHAT, Mr. President??!

The Gay Secretary

The economy? The destruction of the middle class? The Federal deficit of a staggering 15 trillion and counting? Our infrastructure crumbling?! These wars, going horrendously badly which have broken this country morally and fiscally?!? Our homeless Veterans, sleeping in our streets, and unable to get the care they so desperately need?

Sir, you have not a leg to stand on in 2012. And looking at the Republican slate of candidates (with the exception of Ron Paul) all I can say is, the lesser of two evil is still...evil.

Mexico unaware DOJ was passing laundered cash to cartels

Photobucket

OH, YOU FOOLISH AMERICANS!!

American Scofflaw

According to a spokesperson for Mexican president Felipe Calderon, Mexico’s government was left in the dark about a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration drug money laundering scheme that allegedly facilitated the transfer of millions of dollars to Mexican drug cartels.

The program was similar to Operation Fast and Furious in that the U.S. Department of Justice, under Attorney General Eric Holder, was allegedly furnishing narcotics traffickers with laundered drug proceeds in an attempt to discern how those funds would move, and to whom.

Calderon spokeswoman Alejandra Sota said the Mexican government was not aware of, or involved with, any DEA money laundering scheme.

"No, of course not, don't be silly!!!!!!!! lol"------Calderon

HOW do people like Munter get into the US Diplomatic service??

American Scofflaw

Was he simply ordered by his Higher Ups at the State Department to simply pour more salt into the wound of US-Pakistani relations to see if Pakistan would "snap", and do something the US and NATO could use as the excuse to declare war against it?!?

Russia is the 600 pound gorilla on the Steinway right now

No one in the bowels of power in DC wants to talk about vis a vis either Syria or Iran.

Should the US, NATO and/or Israel intervene in Syria, as a back-door way of starting an invasion of Iran (because these two countries have a mutual defense pact), Russia may well intervene militarily on the part of both countries.

This conflict, with a nuclear-armed Russia, may well go far beyond regional, and literally exploding into a nuclear world war.

Is such a war worth it, and particularly from a standpoint of the American people?!?

I have to say, not at all. We would simply be attacking a country with no nuclear weapons whatsoever, simply because Israel has declared Iran to be its existential threat in the region, now that Iraq has been "neutralized", with American blood and American money.

NEWT GINGRICH!

Dershowitz: Israel Has Legal Right to Attack Iran

The Gay Secretary

Memo to Dr. Alan Dershowitz: since its transformation in 1979 to an Islamic republic, Iran hasn't started a war with anyone. One certainly cannot say that about Israel.

The IAEA's most current inspection of the Iranian nuclear energy program have demonstrated, incontrovertibly, that absolutely no nuclear materials have gone missing. The alleged "smoking gun" is simply not there.

Alan, this country (of which I believe you are still a citizen), has been broken, economically and morally, with the current pre-emptive wars going horrendously badly.

The American people, having been fed the lies about Saddam Hussein having had WMDs to start the war against Iraq, are therefore sick and tired of the US military's being used to "neutralize" all of Israel's alleged existential threats in the Middle East, and that apparently means all of its neighbors.

We've had it, sir, and I would suggest that if Israel really wants to bomb Iran, that it does it without American help; because a nuclear-armed Russia just might come down militarily on the side of the Iranians. And, as logical humans understand clearly, a war with Russia is a really, really bad idea for the US to attempt to pursue.

The Gay Secretary

Rick Perry's new anti-gay Iowa commercial is raising a general uproar and causing a major rift in both the campaign staff and the gay Republican community.

Sam Stein at the Huffington Post reports that Perry's top pollster Tony Fabrizio was against airing the TV spot, calling it "nuts" in an email to GOP operative Nelson Warfield, who was behind the ad.

The commercial, which criticizes gays in the military, reportedly raised serious objections among several Perry campaign aides, some of whom have ties to pro-gay rights conservative groups. Fabrizio himself has done polling for the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay conservative group. Those concerns were ultimately overruled by Warfield and other campaign strategists

But Americans still get their crotches groped at the airports.

American Scofflaw

This hardly seems a time the U.S. would be willing to allow people to cross the border legally from Mexico without a customs officer in sight. But in this rugged, remote West Texas terrain where wading across the shallow Rio Grande undetected is all too easy, federal authorities are touting a proposal to open an unmanned port of entry as a security upgrade.

By the spring, kiosks could open up in Big Bend National Park allowing people from the tiny Mexican town of Boquillas del Carmen to scan their identity documents and talk to a customs officer in another location, at least 100 miles away.

BREAKING: US Troops Deploying on Jordan-Syria Border

Iran has a strong case against the US merely by having the drone

The Gay Secretary

I don't think bluffing to more than is really there is a good idea. From the manner in which the lower section of the drone is masked, what I speculate what happened is that the drone simply malfunctioned and belly-flopped, not unlike that B-2 crash where the onboard computer was fooled by a fouled pitot.

The US is, after all, the nation that built an F-22 that asphyxiates its pilots and the F-35 which cannot fly in the rain or the electronics stop working. So a drone malfunction is hardly an extreme idea.

And unless I see an intact undercarriage on that drone, I think the malfunction and recovery theory is the strongest

The Great Chinese-Iranian Stealth Reconnaissance Drone Theft Caper

American Scofflaw

This week it was revealed that a 5th generation state of the art (it does not officially exist yet) US reconnaissance drone was stolen, I mean captured, by the Iranians.
How did this happen and what is the big deal?? An unmanned drone flying at 50,000 feet invisible to radar and undetectable, so how was it stolen??

I think the drone is actually in worse shape than the Iranians are letting on, but the real joke is how the US is trying to imply that the Iranians just built this thing from a Japanese model kit to embarrass the US.

Contrary to Newt Gingrich's deranged view of history, Palestine was already in existence

The Gay Secretary

When the United States supported carving off a chunk of it to create a nation called "Israel" for the descendants of central-Asian Khazars who felt they were in danger from a government that did not exist any longer to occupy, all justified by some ancient writings that says an invisible man in the clouds wants then to have first crack at all of life’s blessings, and by the way the Earth is flat, rests on pillars, and does not move.

Finally, dear Newt, please shut the fuck up, because your total ignorance of history is a major embarrassment to the entire nation. Newt just wants a huge crisis he can stand in the middle of and look good, like a firebug who burns down a building so he can be seen afterwards caring for the wounded!

Fantasizing about disasters that one can appear to be a hero during is usually something people grow out of at age 9 or 10, but Newt seems to live for the day millions are devastated and must look to him for salvation!

Newt is a nut!

Is this the best the GOP can come up with to block Ron Paul from the nomination?

It appears to be not a question of IF the Euro is going to be discarded, but WHEN

The Gay Secretary

I frankly would have substituted the word "furious" for "stung" in that last paragraph.

And by the way, with a 15 trillion dollar indebtedness; its infrastructure in ruins; it homeless Veterans sleeping in its streets, and a general population careening into poverty (especially among its children) what the sam hill is the US government doing loaning money to the IMF?!?

The answer is very simple; because if the European banks go down, that will drag the US "too big to fail" banks right along with them, absolutely collapsing the US economy

And we all remember what happened in the 20s, right?

A great depression, followed by a world war.

Sound familiar, in terms of the trajectory of current events?

Thought so.
