The plan was to take trillions of dollars from the American people and give it to the banks so the banks could loan it back to us at interest.
Problem is, we're not borrowing!
I stopped by the local Circuit City to see how the "Going Out Of Business" sale was proceeding. Lot of people going in, but most were leaving empty handed. Partly that is because Circuit City hasn't really cut prices down to "Going Out Of Business" levels yet (in the hope that customers would be too uninformed to realize that the prices were NOT a bargain) but mostly because those people who WERE buying were paying cash!
