The use of torture, domestically or internationally, is completely antithetical to the principals upon which this country was founded, and so beautifully expressed in the American Constitution and Bill of Rights.

If the trials for torture don't happen, charging people from the top down who ordered this done (and I don't see Obama in any hot hurry to have them happen), this country has slid off a cliff in terms of its moral compass as a nation, and will never get that back again.

And that is the terrible, criminal legacy of the preceding administration, enabled by the current administration.

I keep waiting for the American people to get angry about this blood and money sacrificed for these wars based on lies; for dead young men and women coming back in coffins; for other soldiers so physically and emotionally maimed that they can never participate fully in life again.

But most of the time, all I seem to see is a very blank stare; it's almost as though people's understanding of how badly they have been deceived, and financially and emotionally brutalized in all of this, doesn't exist.

And that is frightening.

Every Holocaust museum is a monument to people who REFUSED TO STAND UP AND DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST TYRANNY IN GOVERNMENT and instead demanded the rest of the world step in to protect them!

Every Holocaust museum is a testimonial to people who chose to remain silent and inactive even as their neighbors were being rounded up and sent to slave labor camps.

Every Holocaust Museum is a reminder of all the Jewish people who could have stood up to stop Hitler and decided not to.

Is that an ideal we want to teach our children in museums? To knuckle under, to go along, to bow, to obey, even when you know the leadership of the nation is on a dangerous and destructive path?

Israel demands money and unconditional support from the rest of the world with the claim that "we" let it happen. But in truth, isn't it the people who were there in Germany, closest to the crimes that bear the blame for allowing "it", whatever "it" really was, to happen?

Every Holocaust museum is an attempt to re-write history, to transfer the blame for one people's inaction and cowardice onto the rest of the world.

Where are the museums in every American city to the American soldiers who DID step in, often at loss of life, to stop Hitler from completing whatever his plans were?

Why are we not seeing Museums to them in every American city?

Are the lives of Americans somehow less important?

We are losing our homes and jobs and Obama shovels our money to Israel at full tilt boogie rock and roll?

Everyone find your senator at www.comgress.org, CALL them (don't waste time with emails) and remind them that both the US Army and more recently the Guardian Newspaper in England have confirmed that Israel is in fact a nuclear power. Under the terms of the 1976 Symington amendment to the 1961 foreign appropriations bill, it is illegal for the US Government to give financial aid to any nation trafficking in nuclear enrichment or weapons technology outside of international controls. Israel has already been caught selling nuclear weapons technology it acquired from the United States to China! That constitutes trafficking by any definition of the word. Israel, unlike Iran, is not a signer of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel, unlike Iran, does not allow unrestricted IAEA inspections of its nuclear facility at Dimona.

How DARE the United States government, at a time when Americans sleep in alleys and eat out of trash dumpsters, send even one thin dime of taxpayer money to a rogue nation that openly defies the United nations 65 times, and threatens its neighbors with illegal nuclear weapons!
