Commence Banning, Ban At Will

American Scofflaw

The Second Amendment is not about giving the people guns for 'sporting use'. The Second amendment specifically states that the reason for the arms is the "security of a free state." Hence, the intent of the Second Amendment is to grant citizens the right to military arms.

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -- Thomas Jefferson

"Gaurd with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined.... O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if to punish tyrants, it were only sufficient to assemble the people!" -- Patrick Henry

"While the people have property, arms in their hands, and only a spark of noble spirit, the most corrupt Congress must be mad to form any project of tyranny." -- Rev. Nicholas Collin, Fayetteville Gazette (N.C.), October 12, 1789

"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people's liberty teeth keystone... the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour." -- George Washington (Address to 1st session of Congress)

"A people can never be deprived of their liberties, while they retain in their own hands, a power sufficient to any other power in the state." -- Noah Webster
