Why are Western governments so concerned about an unstable Egypt? In addition to all of obvious reasons, two words: Suez Canal, which is literally one of the biggest arteries of crude oil that fuels the U.S. economy.

So let me get my head around this: the greatest beneficiary of the US invasion and occupation of Iraq has been...IRAN!?!?!?!
The international nuclear protocol which states that members can only use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and not for weapons.
The nuclear power plant they are building, with Russian technical assistance, is consistently inspected by the IAEA. To date, no nuclear materials have been found to have "gone walkabout", nor have the Iranian scientists enriched their uranium above 20%, which is the level necessary to create medical isotopes. In order to create weapons, one has to enrich the uranium to above 90%, which flat out hasn't happened.
The IAEA has reported nothing to date to indicate that the Iranian government is building a nuclear weapon.
On the other hand, Israel, which has nuclear weapons, refuses to become a signatory to the NNPT, nor will it allow its nuclear sites to be inspected. Saudi Arabia's Prince Turki Al-Faisal is absolutely right to suggest that the US should encourage Israel to let go of its nuclear weapons; unfortunately, that's only going to happen when pigs fly.
But let's say, for the point of argument, that Iran is truly in the process of developing a nuclear weapon; in light of the fact that the US gave both Iran and the world a very concrete object lesson in what can happen to a country without a nuclear deterrent as it did with the invasion and occupation of Iraq, who can blame them?!?

Panel blames the Fed for financial crisis
There are two reasons to dump this argument.
1. The fact that there are a million robberies is not a reason not to jail the one robber you have in handcuffs.
2. I agree the blame for the financial disaster is spread far and wide. So are telephone poles and rope. It is unfair to punish just one, so let us punish them all.

Then Wall Street got caught. Investors and foreign banks demanded Wall Street buy back the fraudulent MBS and make good on the credit default swaps. But the losses threatened to sink the criminal firms behind the fraud, so they turned to their good buddies in the US Federal Government, who decided to help (as they had back during the S&L melt-down of the 1980s) by transferring the losses from Wall Street onto the backs of the American people. That is what the "Toxic Assets" the government had been buying up with your money really are; the fraudulent Mortgage-backed securities.
$14 trillion and counting, and all on the backs of the American people. Those toxic assets, being fraudulent to begin with, can never pay a return, despite the promises of the politicians. That is why the banks are confiscating Americans' homes with "fraudclosures" while the Federal Government looks the other way! They pulled a fast one on you and so far, they think they got away with it!

Abercrombie's reversal on his promise to deliver the Obama Birth Certificate has re-ignited this birther nonsense and World Net Daily and Rush Limbaugh are having a field day with it.
To me, it just does not make sense that Obama could fail the most basic requirement to run for President, and not see Hillary Clinton and John McCain use it to get Obama out of their way.
I still think that this birth certificate is a non-issue and is being waved around as a distraction from the Wall Street Mortgage-Backed Securities fraud and the government's willing complicity in the 'fraudclosures' used to save the banks from default by confiscating the private homes of Americans. Worse, this could easily backfire and make Obama look like a victim of dirty politics going into the 2012 election season.

Have patience. Time is on the side of the people.
This intense focus on groping and 'cancerizing' Americans betrays a fact of life. The US Government is not afraid of Al Qaeda and Osama bin Deadforawhile. The US Government is terrified of you, the American people. They are trying to compensate for that fear by being a bully and trying to make you afraid of them.
The US Government is afraid of 300 million Americans, driven to the point of insanity by repression, understanding that the banks and government have created their starvation, homelessness, and privations, able to walk into banks, courts, government buildings, and tax offices, armed with ceramic knives that cannot be detected by current technology.
So the checkpoints are going up, and therein lies the eventual doom of the government.
States with intense internal controls on their people cannot compete economically with nations whose governments trust their population. That was one reason the USSR was never able to compete with the USA of that era. It is why the USA of today is rapidly falling behind other nations.
DHS and TSA are intentionally destroying this nation, because a nation under lock-down is a nation that cannot function, and cannot compete in a free world. The US Government has already lost. They are doomed, not from some mythical terror threat or from the American people, but by their own hand and their own greed and ineptitude. They simply refuse to see it. Addicts are like that.

Given that the American people are already suffering excessive taxation, we are about to embark on a program of drastic cost-cutting, including ending the wars, no more bailouts to crooked Wall Street corporations, shutting down the Federal Reserve, and of course, no more funding to Israel.... Hee hee hee hee hee hee...

As for the chiropractor story, I had a back injury resulting from tripping over a C-stand on a soundstage. I was in hideous pain for several months, and the conventional doctors loaded me up with very expensive pain medications with very terrible side effects, and workman's comp told me I was faking it, and to shaddup and go back to work.
There was a chiropractor's office right next door to where I was working on a project, so one lunch I decided I had nothing left to lose and walked in. Three weeks later my back pain was gone and never came back. I told the regular doctors they were full of shit and have avoided them ever since.

As of this writing, Loughner hasn't said whether it was the judge or the Congresswoman who was the intended target. The judge did have enemies, mostly from his supporting of illegal immigrants suing homeowners who shot at them.
I wondered about this until Eric Cantor put a hold on Congress and the ADL started screaming about anti-Semitics being behind the attack. That is when the light went on. Congresswoman Giffords is Jewish!
Remember back when Columbia crashed? The media lionized Israel's passenger on the shuttle (same man who had flown the raid that bombed Iraq's power station) to the exclusion of all the other crew members. It was almost sickening to see the US media making a hero out of Ilian Ramon and treating the other victims of the Columbia disaster as if they were background scenery only.
We are apparently seeing the same again today. A wounded Congresswoman takes the center stage, while the people actually killed are relegated to the status of a footnote!
