The US Government is re-playing the Pearl Harbor deception, in which they kept bringing economic pressures to bear on Japan until Japan had no choice but to attack, then pretended Japan's reaction to US provocations was a total surprise and wholly unjustified.
Today we are seeing the same thing with the US bringing economic pressures to bear on Iran, hoping Iran will strike back, thereby allowing the US to play the innocent victim of an Iranian "surprise" attack and trick Americans into a massive escalation of WW3.
