Secretary of State and noted war criminal Hillary Clinton was all smiles today after receiving the news that NATO and her al Qaeda friends had killed embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Showing her sociopath self, Clinton, along with a corporate media puppet, were recorded laughing at the death of a third world dictator who posed no threat to the United States while on the other hand the Libyan rebels who are now in power are literally al Qaeda fighters who have killed U.S. soldiers in Iraq.

The fact that this women could smile and make jokes while being recorded shows just how psycho she actually is. Thousands of innocent Libyans have been murdered at the hands of NATO and the al Qaeda rebels, all in the name of human rights and the need to kill Gaddafi yet Clinton thinks the whole thing is one big joke.

It’s called the Paid Detail Unit and it allows the New York Stock Exchange and Wall Street corporations, including those repeatedly charged with crimes, to order up a flank of New York’s finest with the ease of dialing the deli for a pastrami on rye.

The corporations pay an average of $37 an hour (no medical, no pension benefit, no overtime pay) for a member of the NYPD, with gun, handcuffs and the ability to arrest. The officer is indemnified by the taxpayer, not the corporation.

New York City gets a 10 percent administrative fee on top of the $37 per hour paid to the police. The City’s 2011 budget called for $1,184,000 in Paid Detail fees, meaning private corporations were paying wages of $11.8 million to police participating in the Paid Detail Unit. The program has more than doubled in revenue to the city since 2002.

The taxpayer has paid for the training of the rent-a-cop, his uniform and gun, and will pick up the legal tab for lawsuits stemming from the police personnel following illegal instructions from its corporate master. Lawsuits have already sprung up from the program.

When the program was first rolled out, one insightful member of the NYPD posted the following on a forum: “… regarding the officer working for, and being paid by, some of the richest people and organizations in the City, if not the world, enforcing the mandates of the private employer, and in effect, allowing the officer to become the Praetorian Guard of the elite of the City. And now corruption is no longer a problem. Who are they kidding?”

Afghanistan opium production set to rise 61%: UN

Opium production in Afghanistan is set to rise by nearly two-thirds this year, with farmers’ revenues from the crop set to soar compared to last year’s disease-hit harvest, the UN said Tuesday.

Afghanistan produces more than 90 percent of the world’s illegal opiates from its mammoth crop that continues despite an internationally-funded eradication drive and funds much of the Taliban’s insurgent activity.

The UN said that cultivation of the poppy crop reached 131,000 hectares in 2011, seven percent higher than in 2010 “due to insecurity and high prices”, in its annual opium survey released by the UN’s Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

And with the crop yield per hectare up markedly from last year’s blight-hit harvest, overall production would potentially rise by 61 percent on last year, the report said.

Get a $1,500 HDTV for just $1. That’s the lure of QuiBids.com, an online auction website that some say is gambling. The odds of actually getting that $1,500 HDTV for a mere $1 are slim at best.

QuiBids.com claims that users of their website will pay 80-95% less than retail prices for consumer products the likes of HDTVs, laptops, automobiles, you name it.

Of course there is a catch.

A class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma claims that virtually none of the consumers who participate in these "auctions" will win the right to purchase such high-end item products at those greatly reduced prices. In such cases, the consumers lose whatever money they bid during the auction. The suit alleges that the failure to win auctions is costly to QuiBids customers.

Not surprisingly, QuiBids.com’s chief demographic is made up of stockbrokers according to a Quantcast audience profile.

You can work your life away trying to earn money to pay the debts of a system designed to produce more debt than money, month after month, year after year, including the lives of your children and grandchildren.

And after all that sacrifice, and the government even deeper in debt than you began, what would you have?

Debt.

And life under a government that spies on you, erodes your civil rights, reads your email, loots your computers, tracks your every move, works to keep you dependent both emotionally and physically, indeed works to keep you a mental slave because they fear you and the possibility that you might say "no" at some point in the future.

In other words, working yourself to death only buys you more of the life you have now. And that pretty much sucks.

On the other hand, I think that most of us, were we to be honest about it, would agree that our lives would be tremendously improved were the US Government together with Wall Street, were to vanish from the face of the Earth, taking with it the huge manufactured debt used to enslave us, along with the tendency to regard the American people as the wallet of last resort when funding wars, Israel, or saving Wall Street from going to jail for the biggest financial swindle in history, not to mention the vast cloud of laws and regulations that serve no purpose but to keep us distracted with reams of official forms we have to deal with.

It is simple.

Revolution equals a better life.
