Obviously, there is something much bigger than a gun smuggling investigation that has gone wrong, and as more and more of the story does come to light, coupled with the highest officials trying to obfuscate the matter, it appears to me that we are seeing a repeat of the guns and drug smuggling operation that led to the Iran Contra scandal and the Whitewater cover-up.
