This is the final segment of "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" that claims Lyndon Johnson was part of the group that assassinated John F. Kennedy. The Johnson family threatened to sue History Channel, which is why this segment, preserved at this link, is not included in the DVD set or aired when the rest of the segments are broadcast.
Johnson's motive for wanting Kennedy killed was not just to become President, but because Johnson had learned from one of his staffers, who roomed with Kennedy party-girl Mary Jo Kopechne (later to die in Ted Kennedy's car when he was run off the road at Chappaquiddick), that John F. Kennedy was going to replace him as Vice President in the second term, which would have ended Johnson's White House aspirations.
