Tom MacMaster's excuse for this hoax is that he "meant well" and the fact that it was a hoax should not lead us to conclude that the issues raised by the hoax are not real. Tom is, of course, clearly unrepentant and scrambling to protect the "Let's start war in Syria" agenda. Tom MacMaster apologizes for harming the cause, yet insists the cause, selling another war in Syria, is just. Media networks were gobbling this story feed from the blog and presenting it as real without question and without confirmation. Only the blogs expressed what in hindsight were well-founded suspicions. The question now is how many other hoax stories the media still present to public as real, without question and without confirmation?
