The new procedures are in place to achieve three outcomes:
1. To make millions of dollars for Michael Chertoff and the companies which make the full body scanners, and
2. To cow the American people into sheepishly submitting to any indignity the Federal government wishes to impose upon them.
3. To, for all practical intents and purposes, obliterate the protection of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution against unreasonable search and seizure.
