Of course Russia is going to deny spying, just as Israel did in 2001 and in the AIPAC spy case. But the Israeli spies were actually caught spying, in possession of classified documents, feeding false information into the Pentagon, and dancing while the World Trade Towers fell.

In contrast the accusations against the Russians are rather vague. We are told they were looking at gold trading, something that is actually legal to do.

As I pointed out yesterday this story feels weird and it looks like Obama wanted to put Russia on the defensive, which means that whatever Obama and Medvedev talked about in their meeting, it did not go well for Obama.

Looks as though Obama didn't get what he wanted in that meeting with Medvedev (a clear "understanding" about an impending US/Israeli attack against Iran, perhaps?), and this is his churlish attempt at payback.

Panic brews on Gulf coast under suspicions of oil spill media blackout of threats to public safety

A quiet panic is brewing among residents of Florida’s Gulf coast. People are starved for updates and official information, and the lack of them is accelerating conspiracy theories and rumors of a media blackout. Founded or not, to residents they are quite real.

Unconfirmed reports of evacuations have been circling the internet, along with suggestions that they will never be implemented because the scale is too enormous. Why announce a plan that can’t be carried out? That has led to theories that human life is more expendable than political careers and BP’s public image.

This is exactly the situation I warned about ten years ago. Because of all the US Government lies, about Saddam's "nookular" bombs, about the economy, about 9-11, about TWA-800, OK City, Osama Bin Laden, Waco, Israel's attack on the Aid Flotilla, etc.

The US Government has a credibility crisis of their own making.

And now that there is a real emergency, the US Government might actually be telling people the truth, but who would dare believe them after such a long career of deceptions against the American people?

On the surface there seems to be some confusion about Israel’s relationship with the US. On the one hand we have Israel’s Ambassador to the US, Michael Oren, yesterday telling Israel’s diplomats in Jerusalem, “Relations are in the state of a tectonic rift in which continents are drifting apart." The remarks mainly refer to Obama’s stance on settlements in the West Bank and building in East Jerusalem.

On the other hand, however, we have two countries united in standing against Iran and what seems to be a joint build up of forces in preparation for a confrontation which will involve both the US and Israel. To compound the notion of confusion, at about the same time as Oren is sounding off about relations with the US over the Palestine issue, America’s top military man, Admiral Mike Mullen, is in Israel to confer with Ehud Barak, Israel’s Defence Minister, and Gabi Ashkenazi, Israel’s Chief of Staff, and is telling them that ‘he always tries to see threats and challenges from the Israeli angle”.

Turkey just cut off diplomatic relations with Israel, canceled the water contract, and nor forbids Israeli aircraft to enter Turkish air space. Now THAT is a rift (and good on Turkey for having that kind of balls).

In contrast, President Pussy turned tail and ran to the United Nations to defend that Israel's attack on American citizens in international waters! So the US is still firmly under the thumb of Israel with the willing and eager complicity of the President and almost the entire Congress.
