So, the US Government took a few trillion dollars from the taxpayers to give to the banks in the hopes the banks would then lend it back to us (at interest), but the banks turned around and used that money to clean up the derivatives mess they got themselves into.

So, we are out the money and credit is still a problem, and worse, the higher taxes which must result from the trillions being handed to corporations only serve to further increase the price of all goods and services produced inside the US, making them even less competitive in the global marketplace.

So, instead of improving the economy, this "hand trillions to the corporations and stick the people with the bill" is actually the final nail in the US economy's coffin!
