Now that it's been announced there is a deal, already the bankers are lobbying congress to take out the few taxpayer protections that were put in. And any that do remain simply will not be enforced. This is the S&L debacle all over again.
You are being screwed by the US Government, over and over and over. This is gang-rape on a massive scale and as long as you just lie there and take it, the rape will continue until you have nothing left the gang wants.
When all is said and done, the US administration desperately needs an "October Surprise" to distract American taxpayers from what the degree to which they will have been financially screwed by this bailout package, (which privatizes profit, and socializes the risk),which appears to be on the verge of of passing as of today.
