Memo to Shimon Peres: YES, thank you very much, the US does have a choice to not attack Iran in Israel's behalf.
This country has bleed money and blood to "neutralize" your former enemy Iraq, which you - and this administration - assured the world had "weapons of mass destruction ", which they absolutely did not.
The American taxpayer is very tired of financially supporting these wars without end, which never appear to result in peace, but simply more carnage. We have had enough.
And we shall look with great suspicion at any attempt to stage a "false flag" operation to dupe this country's leadership into a war against Iran in the waning days of this administration. Don't even think about going there.
So, President Peres, if you think that Ahmedinejad and the country's (peaceful) nuclear power program are existential threats to the existence of Israel, go ahead, bombs away.
But this is your fight, not ours.
And by the way; have you had a chat with Medvedev and/or Putin recently about just what they intend to do if one of their largest trading partners gets hit militarily by anyone?!?
That would probably be a really good conference call to make right the heck about now, if Israel intends on executing a unilateral strike against Iran
