Let me get this straight. Paulson thinks that if we don;t pay the CEOs zillions of dollars in salaries, they might decide to thet their companies collapse rather than take a free government (taxpayer) handout to stay afloat?

This either makes the CEOs pirates or Paulson a total idiot.

Or Paulson is already thinking ahead to when he goes back into private life and wants a hefty salary for himself.
