For this administration, is the prerequisite for working on policy issues regarding Iraq and Iran complete geopolitical idiocy?

And of course, besides a military strike against Iran knocking oil prices right into the "riot zone" ballpark (which Bush and Cheney's friends in the oil business will just love them for doing), the big question is, what is Russia prepared to do to protect its interests in Iran??

That seems to be a question no one wants to ask here, and it is the 50,000 lb elephant in the living room.
